ABOUT MEGUMI
Megumi Iwama is a professional dance artist represented by Bloc Talent Agency and a Senior Pilates Instructor based in New York City.
Meg was born and raised in Southern California, where she began her diverse dance training and graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Fine Arts-Performance as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts- Choreography. There she performed works of highly distinguished choreographers such as modern dance legend Donald Mckayle, and Charlotte Griffin, and was part of the Donald Mckayle Etude Ensemble for two years. During her college years, she became certified in the Classical Pilates work and started infusing her two worlds together to make her a stronger performer.
Meg completed the Professional Semester program at Broadway Dance Center in 2022 training and working with top choreographers in the industry, and since have worked professionally with credits including Company XIV under direction by Austin McCormick and Mean Girls Musical Feature Film.
As a dancer and instructor, Meg strives to provide movement that feels good to take part in, and to bring audiences and clients feel better walking out of the space they walked into.
